Grove City Mayor's Court
Grove City's Mayor's Court hears misdemeanor offenses that take place in the jurisdiction of the Grove City Division of Police, with the exception of second offense driving under the influence and second offense driving under DUI suspension, FRA (Financial Responsibility) suspension and domestic violence cases.
Mayor's Court is administered by a Mayor-appointed magistrate.
Mayor's Court is in session from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. each Wednesday.
9 a.m. Failure to comply previous court orders
10 a.m. Criminal cases and minor traffic arraignments
11 a.m. Cases requiring interpretors
1 p.m. Pre-trial cases
2:30 p.m. Driving under suspension, OVI and major traffic offenses
3:30 p.m. Trial cases
Other types of cases heard by the Mayor's Court include, but are not limited to assaults, zoning, and animal-related cases.
Call the Clerk of Court's office at 614-277-1715 for inquiries regarding fine and costs amounts, court appearances, court procedures and other court matters.
Online Payment Information
The City of Grove City Mayor's Court is now accepting online payments for non-court mandatory tickets. This service is only available to people who have payable tickets and choose to handle matters before their first court date. All payments made online must be rendered before midnight of the court date.
To use this service: Choose Case Search (on the left bar), enter name, click submit.
Once your name comes up, click on Case Number, click Pay Balance Online and follow the instructions.
Appeal Process
If you are found guilty in the Grove City Mayor's Court you have the right to appeal your case to the Franklin County Municipal court, pursuant to ORC section 1905.23. You have 10 days (including weekends) from the date of conviction to file an appeal at the Franklin County Clerk of Court's office.
